Tour of San Jose, Poas Volcano & Coffee Plantation

Our tour of San Jose in the Central Valley of Costa Rica was a fantastic way to start the day! Paul, our Caravan tour guide, shared his love and pride for the history of his beautiful country. Paul taught us the term Pura Vida. While it’s literal translation means “pure life,” it is a term that Costa Ricans (or Ticas, as they like to call themselves) use to express their optimism for life. Time for a Costa Rica Holiday! Yeah!!

On Dec 28th, 2017, we started our family trip – an all-inclusive Costa Rica holiday hosted by Caravan Tours. Some friends of ours did this Costa Rica Natural Paradise tour a couple years before us and just raved about it. So, I decided to write about our daily tour experiences. This was my first time blogging, but eventually, I did get the hang of it and was able to share some great experiences and Costa Rica travel tips in this blog, which I wrote while on the tour of Costa Rica!

But La Fortuna is far from isolated. The city offers all the amenities that a traveler could desire and is easily accessible from San Jose, Costa Rica’s capital. Read more

Located in Limon Province just north of Tortuguero National Park on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast is the small village of Tortuguero Costa Rica.

Tortuguero Village relies mainly on tourism and since it is isolated on a strip of land within the Tortuguero canals the village can only be accessed by air or water. There are no cars so the atmosphere is very relaxed and quite pleasing.

Tortuguero Village is surrounded by a series of natural and man-made waterways; in fact, the Tortuguero canals are the primary means of local transportation. Read more
