The Miraflores Locks Visitor Center and Museum brings life and history into the construction and operation of the Panama Canal.

The primary focus of this modern Panama City attraction is the Miraflores Locks Museum, a four-floor interactive museum dedicated to the history and construction of the Panama Miraflores Locks. Museum guests are offered views of the Panama Canal from various platforms and depending on the canal’s schedule, can watch big ships and passenger liners passing through the locks.

The Canal in 3D – Watch a 3D projection film in a comfortable Air-Conditioned theatre that walks you through the history of the Panama Canal. The film is available in both Spanish and English languages.

Exhibition Halls – Miraflores Museum has four different exhibition halls to help guests understand the history, biodiversity, functionality, and importance of the Panama Canal.

Terraces and Observation Decks – There are three different deck levels for watching the Panama Canal in operation. Many guests use this location and the opportunity to take some amazing photographs.

Visitor Center Restaurant – The Atlantic & Pacific CO. Restaurant is located on the fourth floor of the Miraflores Visitor Center. As you eat a delicious meal you can watch vessels pass through the Panama Canal.

Gift Shop – A great place to shop for anyone looking for a small Panama Canal souvenir.

Museum Hours and Admission Fees

Currently, the Miraflores Visitors Center is open every day of the week from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Admission fees to the Miraflores Visitor Center for non-Panama residents are B/. 15.00 for adults and B./ 10.00 for children between the ages of 6 and 12. Nationals and Residents enjoy discounted rates. Admission includes access to exhibitions, theater, and observation decks. Caravan tour guest admissions are included as part of the all-inclusive Panama Canal tour package.
